Falls Creek Accommodation Environment Policy Victorian Ski Resorts

Falls Creek Accommodation Resort Management has released its draft environment policy. The release follows a series of draft documents and periods of public consultation. The environment policy is an evolving set of principles and guidelines which can be improved upon over time and which will be reviewed periodically in order to maintain its relevance to changing circumstances. The fact is, this policy document reflects most of the provisions that have already been put into practice by past management. In this policy, FCRM presents a responsible approach to the management, use and conservation of a small but important part of Victoria’s high country and a balance between recreational development and the conservation of significant environmental values. It recognises the need to conserve natural features and ecosystems for their own sake and because these resources contribute to the attractiveness and desirability of the resort for recreational uses.
